   Ocean dumping problems have increased day by day. However, there are a few ways to prevent this thing from getting worst. Firstly is by limit the amount of waste substances that being dumped from ships to the ocean. Cargo sweeping activity which leads to the removal of iron ore pellets, coal, slag and others can be controlled so that it will reduce the possibilities of ocean dumping to occur.

   Secondly is by preventing the sewage from outsourced to ocean. Everyone knows that the sewage will make the ocean water contaminated. This activity is effective since the sewage contribute the highest source of ocean dumping. Thirdly is by stricter government regulations. Even there are laws to convict the people who commit this pollution, it still not enough to help the ocean dumping problem cases decrease. It is because the responsible party may not look this thing seriously and assume that this is just one of the common problems.

   Last but not least, organize a “Stop Marine Dumping” campaign to create awareness to public about this problem. Some of them might not notice this marine dumping because it is not being exposed in media network.
